Empower, Inspire & Mentor!

Dr. Anthea Aikins is a Microbiology Professor, a  passionate S.T. E. M. advocate, an Academic Coach, a certified Spirit-led Christian coach (HIScoach    ), Researcher, a Mentor and a Community Leader. 

 

She holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology, a minor in College Teaching, certifications in Effective Teaching Practices from the Association of Colleges and University Educators (ACUE) and Quality Matters (QM).  QM certifies her to be an effective online Course Designer and Teacher.  Dr. Aikins is on a mission to offer her academic services to Empower, Inspire and mentor College and Graduate students; particularly minority students in STEM.  Having dedicated over 10 years in higher education, Dr. Aikins is determined to demystify higher education through her 4 core principles; Guidance, Experience, Exposure & Mentoring (G.E.E. M).  Students who work with Dr. Aikins are equipped with essential academic survival skills to thrive successfully in College, Graduate School and beyond.
